We are seeking experienced and passionate Cook / Chef to join our dynamic hospitality team in Northam, Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals, maintaining kitchen operations, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Task & responsibilities

  • Prepare, season, and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu requirements and quality standards.
  • Assist in planning menus and developing new dishes and specials.
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Manage stock levels, conduct inventory checks, and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Minimise food wastage through effective stock rotation and storage practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Assist with training and supervising junior kitchen staff when required.

Qualification & experience

  • Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
